If you are just coming out or have been out or want to support someone you love in the LGBTQ+ community, we have put together some resources that can help guide you.  If you know of one that is not listed, please email us and let us know so we can add it.

TREVOR PROJECT- Provides 24/7 crisis support services to LGBTQ young people. Text (text START to 678678) or chat/call (1-866-488-7386) anytime to reach a trained counselor. 

Q CHAT SPACE- is a bully-free online community of LGBTQ teens that can chat with other LGBTQ teens and trained staff from LGBTQ centers around the country.

GENDER SPECTRUM LOUNGE- is a global online community for gender-expansive teens, their families and support professionals to connect, collaborate and find resources.

NATIONAL RUNWAY SAFELINE is a federally designated national communication system for runaway and homeless youth, available 24/7/365, providing access to resources and listening professionals.

TRANS LIFELINE HOTLINE- is a peer support service run by trans people located all over the US and Candada, for trans and questioning callers.

The LGBT NATIONAL HELP CENTER- offers a talk line and weekly chatrooms for youth, providing confidential peer-support, information, local resources and community.

TRUE COLORS UNITED- has created an online COVID-19 Action & Resource center providing the most up-to-date resources for youth and adults experiencing homelesness. They include resources for folks working in the field, advocates making a difference, and young people looking for help.

PFLAG - First and largest organization uniting parents, families, and allies with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer.      

GLBT NATIONAL HELP CENTERThe GLBT National Help Center provides multiple hotlines for peer counseling; online peer chat options; and local resource searches for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning people.

LIVE OUT LOUD- Dedicated to serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning LGBTQ+ youth.  Mission is to partner with families, school and communities to provide resources, role models, and opportunities that help them discover their voice and become leaders of change. 

IT GETS BETTER- on a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe. 

GSA- student-run organizations that unite LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build community and organize around issues impacting them in their schools and communities.

LAMBDA LEGAL- National organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone.

POINT FOUNDATION- the largest scholarship-granting nonprofit for LGBTQ students studying in the United States. Scholarships. Flagship; BIPOC; Community. 

CAMP BRAVE TRAILS- non-profit organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ youth leadership. We offer accredited summer camps, backpacking trips, family camps, mental health services, meet-up groups, and year-round leadership programming. All of our programs focus on helping LGBTQ+ youth find what they need most to thrive: their people, their place, and their passion.

THE OUT FOUNDATION- removes the barriers that block LGBBTQ+ individuals' from access and participation in the fitness, health and wellness, ensuring their success. 

RETIRE GUIDE- promotes inclusive and affirming healthcare practices, this guide provides essential support and resources to ensure the well-being of senior LGBTQ individuals.
