What began with a simple pair of socks became something bigger. A way to help people feel seen, connected, and proud of who they are.
My name is Rachel. And my story starts with something small: socks.
I grew up hearing as one of five kids, raised by Deaf parents in a home where resources were limited, but love was not.
We shared everything. Especially clothing. Socks were passed down, mismatched, and worn thin. Finding a pair that actually matched without holes felt rare. But what looked like something small, wasn’t.
It was my first understanding that even the simplest things can make you feel seen, cared for, and like you belong.
The challenges we faced didn’t divide us, they bonded us. They taught me to see people differently. To value uniqueness.
To understand that everyone carries a story, whether you see it or not.
Years later, my brother started a tube sock company and something in me lit up. That childhood feeling came rushing back. But I didn’t just want to make socks. I wanted to create something that stood for people.
Something that said: You belong here.
That’s how Pride Socks was born.
Not just as a product, but as a way for people to express who they are, feel proud of their story, and connect with others through it.
Because when you share your story, you create space for someone else to see themselves in it. And in that moment, something shifts, connection, confidence, and the courage to begin.
Because in the end, it’s never just about the socks. It’s about what they represent: You being proud of who you are, just as you are.

A kid raised by Deaf parents who knew what it felt like to be different, she built a brand for everyone who ever felt the same way.
