Why did you name your sock "Love Bats"?
I live in Austin Texas, which is known for its incredible bat sightings. Each night about 1.5 million Mexican free-tail bats emerge from a downtown bridge to blanket the sky as they head out for dinner. It is quite a sight and the bats have a BIG FAN CLUB here! My heart shaped bat is called the “LOVE BAT!” I can even sing you the theme song, “LOVE BATS, BABY LOVE BATS” (to the tune of the B52s “Love Shack”) It is stuck in my head on replay.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
My favorite holiday is Halloween. Not because of scary stuff, but because I love costumes, dressing up, wigs, seeing other people’s costumes, and kids laughing and having fun. There is so much creativity involved! Plus there’s free candy—I mean who doesn’t love that?
What is your favorite joke?
Who is your favorite person?
My favorite person is my daughter Ruby. She is so creative, unique, and has a kind heart. She is a human ray of sunshine with sparkles on top. She brings me joy and lots of inspiration. I’m so lucky I get to be her Mama.
